Freedom 251 flaunts a 4.0-inch WVGA (800*480 pixels)IPS display, Qualcomm 1.3GHz quad-core processor , 1GB of RAM, 3.2 MP rear camera. The smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage, and supports expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card.

However there are many doubts about the genuineness of Freedom 251; whether or not this phone has even been made by the company is in doubt. Just look at the below reasons why you should think twice or more before booking for this seemingly suspicious smartphone and fall for yet another scam!

Freedom 251 is re-branded version of Adcom Ikon 4

Apart from identical looks, both the smartphones function on Android 5.1 operating system, have a 4-inch screen display, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory and powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.

Website keeps crashing & bookings are closed

The company claims that it will allow other companies to use its e-commerce platform to make up that amount, but if you see the state of its website, then you’ll understand its not feasible. It site kept crashing before the books started and as of now the company has shuttered bookings for the phone.

Everything is copied

Evrything from phone’s design to user interface appears to be ditto copy of the iPhone. Even the marketing copy on the freedom251 website is copied word for word from the Huawei P8 product description.

Company itself is suspicious

The operation of Ringing Bells is seemingly suspicious. It’s a company which has popped out of nowhere. It has a small office in Noida’s sector 63. Nothing is known about the promoters of the company as well. The Goel family, which supposedly has over three decades of experience in the agri-commodities business is backing Ringing Bells with Mohit Goel as the director and Ashok Chadha as the president. However, the name of this three-decade old business is unknown.

Ringing Bells says the phone is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story.”
