We Are Promoting Hindi Apps, Says Google, Microsoft and Apple


Good news for Hindi natives, as the tech Giants like Google, Microsoft and Apple said they are promoting Hindi Apps during three-day World Hindi Conference. They showcased the Digital Gadgets with inbuilt Hindi Software and Apps. The representatives of the three companies were seen competing hard to attract the Hindi audience to easily download the apps from their store at event.

Praveen Kumar of Google India, Bangalore explained how Hindi could be promoted on smartphone. Now one can go to download Google Hindi input from Play Store. App has features that catches the voice and writes in Hindi or even can change Hindi in Roman and the script in Devnagri.

“We are promoting Hindi by our appliances,” Microsoft India Marketing Director Alok Lall told PTI, and also stated that Microsoft’s Technology Advisor Bill Gates had launched project ‘Bhasha’ in India in 2000 and included Hindi and Tamil in Windows and Ms Office. Microsoft India also added Hindi keyboards and Bing search Engine to promote local languages in their Operating System.

App Store on Macs and iPad were equipped with Hindi typing and dictionary, said Satish Bharane, the Business Development Manager of the company’s authorized sales partner Aegis Infotech Private Limited.

Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Dr B K Kuthiala also stated that the three companies Google, Microsoft and Apple have come under one umbrella for the first time to promote Hindi.
